Apparel, Illustration, Art Direction
I had the incredible opportunity to conceptualize, direct, and design a special merchandise collection celebrating Kenyon’s bicentennial to be sold in the college’s bookstore. This involved extensive archival research and communication with colleagues and alums in order to determine what subject matter would both resonate with audiences of current students and alumni while being visually impactful on a garment. The design process required the creation of original concepts (see: black metal inspired Gates of Hell) as well as recreations of historical designs. The cherry on top of this project was getting to work with various apparel printers, using multiple production methods to achieve our intended look.
